Compliance at GFT
Compliance with applicable laws and ethical standards is integral part of a good and responsible Corporate Governance
The GFT Group is a globally aligned and trusted technology partner of the financial services industry. We attach great importance to a good, responsible and future-oriented Corporate Governance. The basis is the compliance with all applicable laws and ethical standards by all our employees.
Code of Ethics & Code of Conduct
The Code of Ethics & Code of Conduct of the GFT Group summarizes the most important applicable laws and the defined ethical standards. It forms the foundation for our compliance culture. That appropriate behaviour is taken for granted in everyday business life a compliance office was set up in 2008.
Compliance Office
The Administrative Board appointed the Compliance Office as a centralised group function. It is responsible for the operation of the Compliance Management System.
Compliance Management System
The Compliance Management System consists of the following levels of action: Prevent, Detect, Respond and Improve.
The Compliance Office provides guidance and trains employees. These are encouraged to report incidents and suspect misconduct immediately. For this purpose, we offer various communication channels. In case of a suspicion misconduct, the Compliance Office leads the necessary investigations. Additionally, all new business partners and suppliers are subject to a thorough process of due diligence.
In addition, the Compliance Office analyses continuously the business structure, company size, fields of activity and many other factors. Based on this analysis the potential compliance related operational, legal, financial or reputational risks are evaluated and the respective requirements for adjustments to the Compliance Management System are assessed.
The Code of Ethics & Code of Conduct and the Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy as well as other policies are adjusted periodically to the current requirements. The effectiveness of the Compliance Management System is subject to a periodical assessment.
Compliance programme
The key compliance aspects of the GFT Group are the prevention of bribery and corruption, fraud, violations of competition law, money laundering and financing terrorism.
International Labour and Social Standards
We act responsibly toward our employees. Part of this is our commitment to respecting international labour and social standards, which we have embedded in our global Code of Ethics & Code of Conduct. This encompasses internationally recognised labour norms as stipulated in the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. GFT is committed to complying with these standards worldwide.
Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
We are convinced that GFT and its employees are best served through a positive, collaborative working environment with open communication between management, employees, and employee representatives. GFT respects the legal rights of all employees to form and join employee organisations of choice, including labour organisations or trade unions. Employees shall not be discriminated due to their decision to join or not join a labour organisation. GFT respects the right to collective bargaining.
GFT will support alternatives in countries where the right to collective bargaining is restricted by law, or where employees have not elected or appointed representatives, or where the GFT legal entity has lawfully decided not to recognise a labour organisation.
