The AWS Summit’s first keynote speaker announced new features like Amazon Q Developer, a Gen AI-powered assistant that integrates with most used integrated development environments to help them ask questions about architecture, best practices and documentation. Amazon Q Developer integrates with Amazon SageMaker to support developers with their Machine Learning tasks.
The AWS Summit also highlighted the strengthening of partnerships, such as AI models producer Anthropic and its new foundation models, namely Claude 3.5 Sonnet, the latter, released in mid-June.
During the breakout sessions, there were several topics that catered to both beginners and advanced users. GFT USA had the opportunity to attend a particularly unique session about the techniques utilized when fine-tuning Gen AI models. This, in cooperation between AWS Bedrock and Anthropic specialists, the session proved to be very interactive with several questions coming from customers who are exploring and training their own Gen AI models.
Most of the sponsors inside the Expo pavilion presented solutions around cloud security, monitoring and AI-related products and services, ranging from graph databases to virtual reality, and everything in between.
GFT USA also had the opportunity to visit the AWS industries pavilion section and explore different solutions.
Interacting with solution architects exploring different various use cases and solutions for each industry, and specifically, within banks and financial institutions.
AWS Summit New York was well-organized, an event that provided the opportunity to learn, connect and get up-to-date with the newest cloud trends.
The AWS Summit Bogota 2024 takes place on July 18, followed by AWS Summits in Mexico City, Brazil and Toronto in August and September.
