So, first of all, it's worth knowing that we want the recruitment process to be short, fast, efficient and... pleasant. Recruitment is completely remote. From the moment of sending the application to signing the contract, it can be completed in as little as one or two weeks, which depends largely on your availability for two key stages of meetings. But more on that in a moment…

SO WHAT IS IN A CV?
Before you finally click "Send", a few tips from our perspective that will make the analysis of your CV more enjoyable and speed up the process:
- A clear and up-to-date CV highlighting your competences and experience; preferably in English
- Previous jobs and projects you have implemented are described
- Education, completed courses, training and certificates, everything that confirms your experience and knowledge for a given position
- Knowledge of English at B2 level or higher , we work in an international environment
- Technology stack – what do you feel strong in and want to develop further?
- Don't forget to enter your contact details
Importantly, we do not expect perfect knowledge of all the technologies you will find in the advertisement. At GFT Poland we offer the so-called fast-tracks , i.e. training supplementing area knowledge, for people who are close to a given level - with our help you will quickly level up your level of knowledge and experience.
Remember, even though we are a technology company, the most important thing for us is people and we carefully review each application . If your application catches our eye, we will contact you by phone and arrange the first stage of recruitment: a phone interview!
STAGE 1: PHONE INTERVIEW
Our recruiter will contact you by phone on a previously agreed date and conduct a one-on-one interview. This is the first contact with GFT and verification of the information contained in the submitted CV. The conversation lasts approximately 20 minutes and is conducted in Polish and English and consists of three parts:
- You will learn more about the company, what a given role and related responsibilities look like, and we will also present the next stages of recruitment and possible forms of cooperation.
- We will discuss your experience and the technologies you know, the applications you work with, this part also verifies your ability to use a foreign language
- We will talk about your expectations, including financial ones and plans for the future
If both parties are determined to continue the talks, we usually immediately arrange the next stage with you, this time conducted entirely in English with one of our technical recruiters.
STAGE 2: TECHNICAL INTERVIEW
We invite you to this part of the recruitment process via email with information about who will be interviewed and a link to the Teams application.
The interview in English will be conducted by one or two technical recruiters who will thoroughly check your knowledge and experience in the field of selected technologies. Our technical recruiters/recruiters are GFT employees, most often senior developers, experts or technical leaders. Depending on the position level, the interview will last approximately 1 - 1.5 hours, including time for your questions, which our recruiter will be happy to answer.

- At this stage, we will check your knowledge cross-sectionally: from the specificity of a given language, through frameworks, databases, knowledge of CI/CD tools, system integration, to tests - everything that is most important in a given role
- You can expect a short exercise, a simple practical task or a problem to solve, e.g. writing 2-3 lines of code, which will initially verify your skills
- If you do not have commercial experience, instead of points 1 and 2, you will be tested on the TestDome platform, which will take you about 1.5 hours
- People applying for a managerial or leadership position also start their technical interview with a half-hour conversation about leadership competences, customer contact or interpersonal skills, this part is conducted in Polish.
STEP 3: FEEDBACK
As soon as possible, usually within a few days, we will get back to you with detailed feedback. In the telephone feedback, we will point out your strengths, possible areas for improvement and inform you about our employment decision. We are also more than open to receiving your opinion on the process you participated in and how we can further improve it.
COOPERATION PROPOSAL
If you receive an offer to work in our team in the position of your choice - congratulations! We will provide you with final information about the start date, salary, other benefits, training, etc. Of course, we will confirm everything by e-mail. We will also need information from you to prepare a contract that we will sign remotely.
REFUSAL DECISION
What if we don't have good news? Of course, it's not the end of the world! After about half a year, which is relatively how long it takes to improve certain skills or make up for technological shortcomings, you can try your hand at GFT again. Moreover, if you agree, your previous application remains in our database, so we can also come back to you after some time.
A partnership relationship throughout the entire process is crucial for us, remember that you are also recruiting us.😉 Each candidate is assigned one recruiter - a supervisor, a person with whom he can always be in contact, a person responsible for coordinating communication, providing feedback, conducting interviews and ensuring a comfortable process for both parties.
